Entomologist with B.S. degree in agronomy, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in entomology, 28 years of experience in insect control, 21 years of experience in control of urban and public health pests, with focus on microbial control of insects. Experienced in coordination of large research/demonstration programs in integrated management of fire ants, and development of public health pests. Formally trained and experienced as supervisor of laboratory and field technicians. Experience in coordination of large research/extension programs. Experienced in commercial-scale production and formulation of entomopathogens as biopesticides against insect pests, as well as basic and applied research on insect diseases. Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with researchers, stakeholders and general public, both in collaborative research projects and in outreach programs.
