Duryea, Mary L Professor and Associate Dean


After serving as an Assistant Professor at Oregon State University, Mary joined the faculty in the School of Forest Resources and Conservation, University of Florida in 1985. Her appointment was in research, teaching and extension in reforestation and urban forestry. She has published numerous books, book chapters and journal articles in the areas of tree physiology and reforestation. Her most recent book, published in 2005, was entitled Forests of the Wildland-Urban: Conservation and Management.

In 2001, Mary was appointed Assistant Dean for Research in the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Florida. In 2005, she was promoted to Associate Dean for Research. One of her major duties is to enhance research programs in Natural Resources and the Environment.
